Habits of Mind

 

We have begun a very exciting journey here at Greenmount.  As a whole school, we are developing 16 habits which will help us to intelligently tackle problems that we encounter.

 

When we're faced with a problem and we're not sure what to do, we use the mantra "Stop, Think, Act".  

 

The "habits" help us at the thinking stage; they're like a tool box of different strategies we can use to help us think through and solve the problem.

 

The problem could be to do with our work, our friendships, our behaviour ... in fact anything that we're faced with !

As we introduce each "habit", we will add a page all about it below (just follow the swirls !).

As we introduce each habit, the children will take part in different activities to explore what each habit means.  Staff (and children) will look out for those who are displaying the habits and reward with special "Habits of Mind" Dojo Points.
