As a parent I have watched my children blossom at Greenmount Primary School and have always been delighted by the high standard of learning and creativity that takes place at the school. I became a governor so that I could learn more about developments within the school and help contribute to the running of the school. I have always been passionate about learning, beginning my career as an education officer in the museums sector, through which I developed strong links with local schools. In my current role as the Arts & Museums Officer at Bury Art Museum I have a broad range of responsibilities which give me a wide range of skills and experiences that I can bring to my role as governor, including staff management, building partnerships, budget monitoring and fund raising. Outside of work and school my passions include being outdoors, running and my favourite – karate!
