Good morning Year 3,
I really can't believe that we are at the end of week 10 of our home learning and 13 weeks since we had the class altogether. As I have said many times in the past, I am proud with the way each and every one of you is trying their best in difficult circumstances.
* Today for our SPaG work, I would like you to look again at the present perfect form. The present perfect form describes an action that has already taken place, but continues to happen, for example, "Mr Geeson has been the 100m running world champion for two years." This shows that I was and still am the champion! Today, you are going to need to use your knowledge of the work on Tuesday to explain if some statements are correct or not.
Remember this tense makes use of the words "has" and "have", as we looked at in class and although it can be confusing at first, it is something which we use when we talk and write without thinking about it. Have a go at the attached sheet and if you feel confident, start with sheet 2. I have provided the PowerPoint to help you.
* We are continuing to look at money. Today is fairly straightforward again, but remember to explain your answers carefully! . Most of you should be able to start with the second sheet.
Don't forget to keep your 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables ticking over and also make sure that you are able to show the inverse operation to each fact, for example 4 x 8=32, so 32 divided by 8 is 4. Also, some of you are now very confident with all of the times tables we have looked at, so if you feel that you are, I would like you to begin to learn your 6, 7 and 9 times tables.
Have a lovely weekend and I will see you all soon.
