Good morning Year 3,
I would like to start by thanking you all for the lovely email messages which I have been receiving over the past few weeks, talking about how you are missing school and seeing your friends. Both myself and Mrs Bowler really miss you all and we will see you soon. Remember, this virus will not last forever!
Today's tasks are as follows-
Today we are going to do some more work on writing direct speech. I would like you to look carefully at the sentences given and then rewrite them as if somebody was saying this, like we did on Monday. This time, you will need to carefully choose the correct piece of punctuation to go at the end of the direct speech. This could be a full-stop, question mark or exclamation mark. Think carefully about how the person may be saying their sentence before choosing.
* Today I would like you to work on some mental maths, working out the answers in your head. I have attached some more sheets for you. I would like you to choose just one of these sheets and start from the red section. They start off really easy, but I would like you to see how far you can get. Most of you should be able to get to the green section. How far can you challenge yourself to go?
I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and take advantage (within the rules of course) of some of the nice weather that we have been promised.
Bye for now!
