Good morning Year 3,
I hope that you are all well. It has been lovely to see that lots of you have been combining your hard work with plenty of breaks with outdoor exercise / fresh air, including cooling your brains off in paddling pools. Hopefully the weather will get warmer again so that you can do these things again!
* Today for our SPaG work, we are again focusing in on the prefixes super-, anti- and auto-. The sheet is pretty easy to follow, but this time you will need to apply the work that you did on Tuesday and carefully explain whether some of the sentences are correct or not.
* We are now approaching the end of our work on fractions. Today we are comparing different fractions to see which are larger / smaller, just like some of the work which we carried out in class. Read the questions and look at the diagrams carefully. I have attached a fraction wall to help you with this, as I know that some of you found this useful. There is also a PowerPoint which you may want to look at first. If you are feeling confident with this, please start with the second sheet.
Don't forget to keep your 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables ticking over and also make sure that you are able to show the inverse operation to each fact, for example 4 x 8=32, so 32 divided by 8 is 4. Also, some of you are now very confident with all of the times tables we have looked at, so if you feel that you are, I would like you to begin to learn your 6, 7 and 9 times tables.
I hope that you all have a lovely weekend.
