Good morning Year 3,
I hope that you all had a lovely long weekend and too advantage of some of the good weather that we have had. I know from reading all of your emails, that people are getting out and about with their families on walks. It has also been nice to see that you are keeping in touch with your friends via video calls and emails.
A massive thank you for all of your hard work on the World War Two projects. They look amazing! Thank you to all of you who have shared these with me on your Class Dojo portfolios. I am still working through these, so if I haven't responded, I will be doing soon!
* Today for comprehension, I would like you to do some work on rainforest creatures. I have provided you with some information on types of animals which we find in this type of habitat (home). Use your VIPERS skills to help you answer the questions. This is something that you have impressed me with this year.
* This is our last day of revision work on time and we are going to continue looking at the number of hours in a day, days in a week etc. The attached sheet should be self explanatory, but it will be important to answer your questions clearly, using your knowledge of time. This is what we call reasoning in maths (giving a reason for your answer). For example, why is it possible that I can wake up at 9 o'clock, but also just be going to bed at 9 o'clock? If you are feeling confident with this, you should start with the second sheet.
Don't forget to keep your 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables ticking over and also make sure that you are able to show the inverse operation to each fact, for example 4 x 8=32, so 32 divided by 8 is 4. Also, some of you are now very confident with all of the times tables we have looked at, so if you feel that you are, I would like you to begin to learn your 6, 7 and 9 times tables.
Keep up with all the hard work you are doing. I've seen some amazing stuff going on!
