Hi Year 3,
I hope that everybody is well and that you all had a lovely weekend and are ready for week 12 of home learning. I know that the longer you work from home, the harder it sometimes is to get on with the work, but as I said last week, keep on going and keep trying your best like you have been doing since March. I've been really impressed with your work!
* Today for comprehension, I would like you to carefully read the information on Christopher Columbus. Columbus was an Italian explorer and navigator, who discovered several different countries on his sailing adventures. Use your VIPERS skills to help you answer the questions.
* We are finishing off our work on subtracting money today. You are able to use any of the strategies which you know for calculating the answers, but as today is reasoning work, you will need to explain some of your answers carefully as well!
Don't forget to keep your 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables ticking over and also make sure that you are able to show the inverse operation to each fact, for example 4 x 8=32, so 32 divided by 8 is 4. Also, some of you are now very confident with all of the times tables we have looked at, so if you feel that you are, I would like you to begin to learn your 6, 7 and 9 times tables.
Take care and keep safe!
