Good morning Year 6
I hope you had a good weekend.
1 I think you might like this next activity – I would like you to watch a film. The film is: Murder On The Atlantic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqD7OUcV078 (About 1 and ½ hours.) Please check with mum or dad that they are okay with you watching it because it is a PG. If they have not seen the film, I would imagine that they would ‘love’ it as much as me. Remember that this is a dramatization of what happened. I am not sure that it would be a good idea for younger children to watch it as there some unpleasant images. You will need to really focus as you are watching the film so that you fully understand what is happening. Pay real attention to the ending as it raises a lot of questions. There is one swear word in the film. I would never condone bad language, but the reality is that if you were in that situation, a naughty word might come out of your mouth. If you don’t focus on the film, you will probably miss it anyway! So, go to the toilet, get out the pop corn and turn your mobile phone off! ENJOY!
2 As part of our transition work to high school I would like you to have a look at the ‘attached’ PDF entitled ‘Being Brave’. Also have a look at: https://youngminds.org.uk/resources/school-resources/find-your-feet-transitioning-to-secondary-school/ where you will find some useful short videos.
Enjoy your day
