Hello Year 3,
I hope that you all had a lovely weekend and are eager to go for another week of home learning. I can't believe that this is the 9th week away from school!
* Today for comprehension, I would like you to carefully read the information on volcanoes. Being a geographer, I find volcanoes fascinating and have been lucky to visit several active volcanoes on my travels. Volcanoes is also a topic which you will be looking at when you go into Year 4. Use your VIPERS skills to help you answer the questions.
* Today is our last day revising fractions. Again you are going to be comparing two or more fractions, but as this is some reasoning work, you will have to explain your answers carefully, after reading the questions and looking at the diagrams. I have provided you with the PowerPoint from last Friday and the fraction wall to help you.
Don't forget to keep your 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables ticking over and also make sure that you are able to show the inverse operation to each fact, for example 4 x 8=32, so 32 divided by 8 is 4. Also, some of you are now very confident with all of the times tables we have looked at, so if you feel that you are, I would like you to begin to learn your 6, 7 and 9 times tables.
I hope to see you all soon.
Take care and keep safe!
