Good morning Year 6
I hope you all enjoyed yesterday’s task and you were able to protect the nation for £15000! I will now be honest with you and say that when I did it, I went over the £15000 – slightly!
Here we go with the work for Thursday 7th May:
(We are not going to do our spelling test today; we will do it next week. That will give you longer to practise!)
As you know, on Thursdays I lead the Key Stage 2 music assembly. If we had been in school today, I would have been doing an ordinary assembly and showing you the PowerPoint I have attached. Please concentrate on each slide, especially the slide that links to some footage of someone talking about their experiences of VE Day.
I then want you to do the comprehension and additional tasks from Classroom Secrets. (I have ‘attached’ the answers, but you will notice that the answers are presented in a different order to how the questions are organised. The answers have the question number against them.)
To round off your morning’s work put your feet up and have a good read of the next edition of the First News newspaper that is on the Year 6 page of home learning.
I hope you all enjoy the bank holiday weekend and whatever VE Day celebrations you might have planned. Remember though that you must social distance – especially if you are planning on having a street party!
All of you stay safe and I will ‘see’ you next week.
