Good Morning Year 1!
Here are your activities for today …
Daily recap of ‘phonics flashcards speed trial’ and ‘tricky word trucks’ on the Phonics Play website.
For the remainder of the week I will not be introducing any new phonemes, suffixes or prefixes as we have covered everything that we need to cover in year 1. Instead, you can use this week to revise sounds that we have already covered. I will set a specific focus each day, however if you know there are certain phonemes or suffixes that you need to work on, please focus on those instead.
Go through the PowerPoint and decide which is the correct phoneme to spell the words. You will need a pencil and paper.
Go through the PowerPoint and unscramble the sentence. Then think and discuss with an adult how you could improve the sentences by adding adjectives and conjunctions. Once you have been through the PowerPoint, complete the worksheet. On the worksheet, unscramble the sentence and then using a different colour improve the sentence by adding adjectives and conjunctions.
Addition and subtraction wheels.
Today you will be using everything that you have learnt in year 1 to help you represent numbers.
Please see ‘example’ document. I am sure you will be able to think of additional ways to represent numbers. You can choose your own numbers between 0-20 to represent. You could either do this practically by gathering items to represent numbers or you could create a poster and draw your different representations.
