Hi Year 6
It has only been a day but I am missing you already. I never thought I would actually say that!!
I am going to reiterate what I said to most of you last week. I know the government has cancelled all of the SATs but I still care about you all and want the best for each one of you. I truly believe that it is important to send you off to secondary school having covered as much of the Year 6 curriculum as we can possibly do over the next few weeks.
Right, here goes for Tuesday 24th March:
1 Complete any outstanding MyMaths or SPAG.com work
2 Read to the end of Chapter 3 of Listen To The Moon
3 Summaries the story so far in bullet points (Use the small blue book sent home)
4 Complete Set A Test 1 of the 10 minute reading booklet (Write in the booklet)
5 Take a look at the spellings that we should have had our tests on this week
6 Continuing with our work on ‘algebra’ take a look at page 88 of the photocopied TYM. Look at the top of the page at the examples and complete the appropriate sections. (Use the small blue book sent home.) If you are struggling with the algebra work go onto MyMaths, click on the Select Curriculum Tool, go to Number then Algebra and take a look at the lessons.
When you are sitting at home doing your work, keep thinking about the things I would be saying to you - and the laughs we have!
I’ll be in contact tomorrow. Mrs K - over and out. x
