Good morning Year 3,
It has been lovely to see some of you from a distance, whilst I have been teaching Year 6. Hopefully we will all be back together soon, so that you can see some of your friends and catch up about the things which you have been doing.
* Today is our handwriting day. As usual, please complete the two sheets and then find out the meanings of any words which you are unsure of.
* We are continuing to look at giving change. For example, if I had bought some things which cost £3.25 and paid with a £5.00 note, I would work out the change by doing £5.00 - £3.25= £1.75 change. Remember, you can use any strategy which we have looked at to help you calculate the answer. You may also have to explain why you think an answer is correct or not.
* Mrs Rowland has placed some practical science investigations on the school website for you to have a go at.
Don't forget to keep your 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables ticking over and also make sure that you are able to show the inverse operation to each fact, for example 4 x 8=32, so 32 divided by 8 is 4. Also, some of you are now very confident with all of the times tables we have looked at, so if you feel that you are, I would like you to begin to learn your 6, 7 and 9 times tables.
I will see you all soon.
