Good morning Year 3,
I know that we are all having to stay in our houses, but I hope with all this nice weather that we have been having, that you have managed to get into your back garden for some fresh air and a little bit of exercise!
I hope that you managed to have a go with the tasks which I sent to you yesterday. Most of these start of easier and then get more challenging. I know that from teaching you, you are quite competitive, so see how far you are able to get with the work!
Today's tasks are as follows-
I have given you two handwriting sheets, as this is what we usually do on a Wednesday. Once you have completed these, I would like you to look at any words which you don't know and then find out what they mean. The meaning should be written in a simple sentence.
* I would like you to use your knowledge of vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines, to find these on the "lines" worksheet. Remember our vertical, horizontal and diagonal Kung Fu?
* Have a go at labelling the skeleton with the simple names for the bones. an you explain to an adult or older brother or sister what the purpose of a skeleton is?
* Mrs Rowland has also put some science activities on the website for you to try.
Most of these tasks should take around an hour, but you don't need to do them all in one go. Have regular breaks and get some exercise!
I will see you all soon, so keep up your fantastic work.
Over and out from Mr G!
