It has been absolutely lovely to see more people posting pictures on their Dojo portfolios – seeing all of these pictures makes us miss you even more! We are so glad to see that you are working hard and seem to be enjoying the activities based around VE day.
Here are your activities for today …
Complete ‘phonics flashcards speed trial’ and ‘tricky word trucks’ on the Phonics Play website.
Your phoneme to focus on today is oe. Practice writing oe. Can you think of any words that contain oe? Practice reading and writing the following words that contain oe: toe, goes, tomatoes, potatoes, dominoes. We have attached some flashcards containing oe words for you to practice reading. Now can you think of a sentence that contains at least 2 of these oe words?
Today we would like you to do a comparison between homes in the 1940’s (wartime) and your home now. Please see the link below which takes you to a website full of videos about what each room in the house was like in the 1940s. Once you have watched the videos think about how they are different to our homes now. You could either just have this as a discussion activity or present your comparisons in whatever way you would like.
Today we have set you a slightly shorter maths activity as the comparison activity above might take quite a bit of time to complete so we don’t want to overload you with activities. Please see the attached document for you to work through consolidating what you have done so far on money.
