School Day
Our school day runs from 9.00 a.m to 3.30 p.m, Monday to Friday.
This equals 32.5 hours per week.
We open our doors at 8.50 a.m. to enable children to organise themselves before the official start time at 9.00 a.m.
Children should not arrive on site before 8.40 a.m. If this is unavoidable for older children, they should wait on the area outside Year 1.
- There is a morning break for all year groups lasting 15 minutes.
- The lunch break for all year groups is one hour.
- In the afternoon, a break of up to 15 minutes is given at teachers' discretion.

Please note, that if there is a birthday, then sweets etc are often given out at the end of the day, so children may not come out onto the playground until 3.35 p.m.
If you have a medical appointment near to 3.30 p.m, please let the teacher or school know and they will do their best to have your child ready for 3.30 p.m exactly.
Children are not able to leave school before 3.30 p.m on a regular basis.
On the odd occasion, we are able to seat children in the school reception area if you are held up. This is only for emergency use. If children are left at school after 3.40 p.m without prior notice, we will contact you and make alternative arrangements.
Teaching staff often have after school meetings and courses etc, to attend and are not in a position to supervise children whose parents are late.
