Our little girl, started in Reception at Greenmount Primary this year. We have enjoyed becoming part of such a welcoming and nurturing school community. We also have a little boy, who is 2 years old and I will therefore be a Greenmount Primary parent for many years to come and have an interest in the school's continued success.
I have worked in the NHS as a paediatric speech and language therapist for the last 13 years. I have worked in lots of different schools and enjoy collaborating with teaching staff and parents to support children with speech, language and communication needs. As an NHS employee, I have a good knowledge of national guidelines relating to working with children such as safeguarding procedures, confidentiality and special needs reforms. I think being a Governor allows me to see the support provided to children from a different perspective and also the wider challenges that a school faces.
