As a Greenmount resident for 33 years, I have been a Community Governor since I retired in 2011. On becoming a governor, I wanted to use the experience and skills I had gained over a long career in education to support schools in the local community.
My main interests are teaching and learning, along with leadership and management, and hope to use my experience to help create the best possible learning opportunities for the children at Greenmount Primary School. I have two children, who both attended Greenmount Primary, and two grandsons, one of whom is currently a pupil at the school.
Away from school I enjoy cycling and walking and work as a volunteer with the Citizens Advice Bureau.
